Melissa Loseby is a writer, film & TV unit publicist, and EPK producer, originally from the land Down Under, now based in the somewhat regal Kings County (Brooklyn).

Loseby has over 20 years’ experience in the arts and entertainment industry as a writer, consultant, and film & TV publicist, holding senior roles in-house at studios and independent film companies. She has worked on projects in Australia, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States and always explores each project’s needs through a global lens.

Over the last 6 years, Loseby worked both with and for Netflix, initially as a consultant and unit publicist for the six Marvel television series, before subsequently moving in-house where she ultimately led a team of writers creating global written materials to help position projects, and crafting compelling behind-the-scenes stories for media placements around the world. These assets included synopses, biographies, production notes, talent interviews, behind-the-scenes features & fun facts, talking points, and speeches. She also regularly conducted media training with actors and creators.

Previously she headed up theatrical publicity for FilmNation Entertainment in New York, was Executive Director of International Publicity at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment in Los Angeles, and ran Howl, her own entertainment consultancy.

Loseby holds degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Queensland in Australia and is a member of the Television Arts & Sciences Academy.
